Viosinho is a grape variety grown in old Douro vines, in this case, in Baixo Corgo. It is a white grape variety with small bunches and berries, ripens early, is very sensitive to powdery mildew and rot, and prefers warm, sunny climates. It is a variety that grows well in various types of soil and produces well-structured wines, which have attractive sensory characteristics, such as an intense floral character, but also exotic fruits and plenty of minerality. Given its low sensitivity to oxidation, wines from this variety have good ageing potential.
