Viosinho is a grape variety grown from old vines in the Douro region, in this case, Baixo Corgo. It's a white grape variety with small bunches and berries, ripens early, is very sensitive to powdery mildew and rot, and prefers warm, sunny climates. It thrives in a variety of soils and produces well-structured wines with attractive sensory characteristics, including an intense floral character, but also exotic fruits and plenty of minerality. Given its low sensitivity to oxidation, wines from this variety have good aging potential.
