Grape Varieties: Syrah (100%). Origin: Schist soils of Quinta do Sobreiró de Cima, predominantly southern exposure. Vinification: Hand-harvested into small perforated boxes. Reception with immediate destemming and crushing. Fermentation in stainless steel vats, with fermentation at a controlled temperature of approximately 23°C, with prolonged maceration. Part of the batch underwent malolactic fermentation in used French oak barrels. Aging: Aged in stainless steel vats until bottling. Tasting Notes: At Quinta do Sobreiró de Cima, we selected the best Syrah grapes to create this varietal. Deep garnet in color, it has a refined aroma of very ripe black fruit, spices, and balsamic notes typical of the variety. Aging in French and American oak added a slight hint of cocoa and roastiness to the Syrah's mineral character. In the mouth, there is an intense fruitiness, with velvety tannins and a long, persistent finish.
