Casa Ermelinda has nearly a century of experience growing grapes. SandStone Shiraz was grown in the sandy-soiled Fernando Pó vineyard, where hot days are tempered by cool nights thanks to coastal breezes and the moderating influence of the Tagus and Sado rivers. After four months in French and American oak barrels, this garnet-colored wine displays a wealth of aromas, such as ripe dark fruits in syrup, as well as Syrah's iconic spices, such as black pepper, white pepper, and cloves. SandStone is a great wine: complex, velvety, structured, and persistent.
