Established in 1920, Casa Ermelinda Freitas is a family-run winery with a long tradition in the Fernando Pó wine region of southern Portugal. This particular wine pays homage to Manuel João de Freitas, known as Dom Freitas, one of the great driving forces behind this producer at the end of the 20th century. Made with the Castelão grape variety, and a touch of Touriga Nacional and Syrah, it is a wine with rich and persistent sips, presenting intense aromas of ripe red fruits on the nose.
