The Alto Rouge is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz and Petit Verdot and has been produced since its beginnings in 1919. The Alto Rouge is very popular in South Africa and is one of the red wine icons in the Cape.
