The London No.1 Gin is a London-produced gin with a turquoise blue color that comes from the maceration of gardenia flowers in alcohol. It is made in small pot still batches from carefully selected grains from Suffolk and Norfolk Island. 12 species of herbs and spices, included in the maceration next to the mentioned gardenia flowers, give it a unique style and charm. Juniper and coriander are responsible for the aroma and spiciness. Angelica and orris root for structure and body. Licorice root gives freshness. Bergamot, on the other hand, lends the drink a breath reminiscent of the well-known aromas of Earl Gray tea. Lemon and orange peels, a pinch of cinnamon and a bit of thyme are responsible for the taste. The whole rests three weeks after distillation in oak barrels, and the effect is a hybrid of classic and modern. Despite 47% alcohol, London N°1 is delicate and elegant in its fragrance bouquet, with pleasantly spicy and balsamic additions. In the mouth soft, subdued, with a long refreshing finish.
