Famous Grouse - A wild bird from the grouse family with reddish plumage, recognized as the national "hero" of Scotland, living among the Highlands moors is the emblem of this distillery. This distinctive brand was created in 1897 by Mathew Gloag and his son. Bottling in the characteristic unlabeled grouse embossed bottles, it is aged in sherry casks mainly from the Macallan and Highland Park distilleries. It is worth adding that in the 80s this whiskey was granted the privilege to deliver it to the royal court. Nose: Smooth, with hints of cherry, malt, vanilla, peach and chocolate. Taste: Intense and sweet with hints of raisins, toffee, caramel and orange. Finish: Medium length with hints of cocoa and oak.
